Jamberry by Lori

I have heard and seen Jamberry around, all the rants and raves about how exciting their new company is and how quickly they are growing, but up until this week I hadn’t really given them a chance.

 I have short brittle nails and usually just cover them up with acrylics to obtain a more professional look, but as the acrylics came off I noticed how damaged my nails were becoming.  Well I just couldn’t hold out any longer it’s time to give Jamberry a try.

Surprisingly they were pretty easy to apply even on my short nails!  I wiped my nails clean with a nail polish remover, lightly buffed them, and then wiped clean again. After pushing back my cuticles, I then applied the shield to my nail heated for a second with a blow dryer to soften the shield and used the cuticle pusher to smooth the shield to my nail.  I heated it once more for a few seconds and then trim and filed away the excess.   That was pretty simple!

The Jamberry shields added a strong study support for my brittle nails and are showing no signs of lifting or ware.  This was especially surprising after several loads of dishes and other daily activities that would generally ware off nail polish after a few days.  No touch ups needed which is great!

Personally I am a little upset with myself for not trying these sooner! There are so many designs and styles to choose from and I can’t wait to place an order!  Plus, if you order 3 you get 1 free, now how can you beat that?  

I absolutely have to recommend Jamberry Nail Shields.  I am able to show off my stylish nails without thick bulky acrylic and they are adding much needed support to prevent my nails from breaking.  Talk about a win win!

I have been using the HBL volumizing hair care system for a few weeks now and not only can I feel the difference in my hair but I can see the quality it has added after use.  HBL offers several different hair care products but I was more than anxious to test their volumizing system on my flat lifeless hair.  The Volumizing system currently comes with Shampoo, Conditioner, and Free Hair Masque all three of which I found amazing.

The amount of shampoo and conditioner I actually needed to fully coat my hair was a bare minimum, about a quarter to half dollar size. So I have been using Marj’s Naturals soap now for about three weeks and I love it!!!  Marj’s Naturals carry antioxidant rich products that nourish, protect, treat and prevent damage to the skin.  Why? Cafe' Escapes

So I have to admit I love coffee and anything else that is a hot relaxing drink! In the mornings, I just can’t get motivated without a hot steaming cup of something.  Pretty sad right?  So when I had the opportunity to review Café’ Escapes K-Cups I jumped all over it!!

I have a hard time with milk/dairy products and I really have to watch my dairy intake or hubby is going to be waiting on me hand and foot.  Which I guess isn’t necessarily a bad thing.  But when I heard Café’ Escapes is a collection of hot cocoas and dairy based beverages I was a little nervous and took it slow.  That didn’t last long.  I loved them!! My favorite is the Café’ Caramel that was just introduced in 2012. Of course there are several other flavors to like the Dark Chocolate hot cocoa and Café’ Mocha.  The kids really liked the Café’ Mocha and that is a regular in our house since our last visit to Grandma’s this summer.  Thanks grandma! 

Now generally I am worried about drinking my calorie intake for the day because most flavored drinks have a ton of calories.  I love that Café’ Escapes are each 70 calories or less and all gluten free while still being full of flavor!  Another win win!

When I first received Beanitos I have to admit I was a little scared to try them.  First of all, I don’t like refried beans, but my husband and kids do so I figured if I didn’t like them then they would at least be a snack that everyone else could enjoy.  Well guess what, I was wrong!  I love them!  I especially enjoyed the Cheddar Cheese.

Cheddar Cheese was the kiddo’s favorite to.  Honey however liked the Chipotle BBQ, and I can’t say I blame him. The Chipotle BBQ was basically like a BBQ chip.  These really were a snack the whole family could enjoy and we even opened up a few bags last night for the big game!  Did you watch the game or just the commercials?

I would love to say that it’s Sunday which means laundry day, but that’s not the case because it seems like I do laundry every single day in this house.  I would really like to understand how that is possible with a family of 4 but it seems a mystery that may never be solved.  This makes trying to save money a little more difficult with all the laundry soap and dryer sheets we use.

    A friend of mine gave me a recipe for laundry soap, (I’ll share that with you later) and now I have found Woolzies!  Woolzies are 100% pure New Zealand wool hypoallergenic dryer balls.  Woolzies are about the size of an adult hand and the box we received came with 6, perfect for out laundry loads.

But how do they test out? That’s the true question?  Well as if you couldn’t tell I do large loads of laundry and these balls bouncing around in there with our clothing has cut the dry time by about 15 minutes on an hour load.  That’s not bad I didn’t figure.  I’m also no math wiz so
I really couldn’t tell you exactly how much money that saves us a year in not only dryer sheets but electricity.   I then had a small load of laundry left, and figured I better get it done while I’m in the swing of it right?  Our dryer normally runs for approximately 50 minutes on a small load.  After 30 I heard “BZZZZZ”.  Dryers done! I was really surprised how much quicker my dryer is shutting off.

Schick Hydro Silk Razor

When I received the Schick Hydro Silk razor I was personally a little skeptical because we have good razors at home and what’s the difference between the razors we currently use and the Hydro Silk?

Well there were several differences but I especially like the handle and how easy it was to hold on to.  Ok, personal secret time; I am a clutz and would drop my own arm if it wasn’t attached! But I love how Hydro Silk very easy to hold on to with the curved design, this is perfect for me!

The cartridges are water-activated with a moisturizing serum and when I used the razor I could tell the difference on how close it shaved with such a smooth glide.  I will definitely be buying the refills for the Hydro Silk.

What a relief Thera Pearl has been for me this week!  For those who know me personally you know I have horrible pains not only during my menstrual cycle but also when I ovulate.  The doctors recommendation; go home take some pain meds go to sleep. WOW… That’s not just one doctor that’s several so when I found therapearl I was defiantly ready to try something new.  I have used heating pads and they are reliving however sitting still or trying to not get tangled up in the cords is just plain annoying.
