Harvey Prince Submariner

Hubby is one lucky man. Why you ask? Because I found Harvey Prince Submariner and oh my goodness…. Well I’ll leave it at “hubby is one lucky man!”

Submariner is absolutely to die for and by far one of my favorite fragrance for men!  It drives me crazy because I am so in love with the way Harvey Prince has blended scents into this fragrance.  Now I’m not great at describing the different products in the fragrance so I will let you read their description.  But what I can tell you is I put this on hubby as soon as he got home.  He then went outside worked in the garden (got all icky) worked around the house, and by 11 at night the scent was still just as great as when I sprayed it on him.  There was no fading but it was also not overpowering.  It was the absolutely perfectly like I had just sprayed it on him. 

Recently Harvey Prince has been featured in The New York Times, Cosmopolitan, The Early Show and the New York Daily News.  All of the Harvey prince products use only high-quality and eco-friendly ingredients which is just one more thing that separates them from the rest to make them one of the best.

Every year for Christmas the boys have always gotten their daddy a tool box… I’m real original right? Just a brush?

Over the last few years my hair has really decided that it’s turning frizzy and curly and I used to have pretty straight hair that would never curl so that leaves me pretty confused.   In the mornings I either have to straiten my hair or blow dry it but blow drying it seems to take forever. 

Well this week I learned I just wasn’t doing it right.  Harsh reality right? I guess so, because now I have cut the blow drying time in half rich is rather important if I want to get anything else done before the kids get up and not look like a complete slob. 

I found Brush Love who feature a BrushLab Thermal Round Hair Brush and I have to admit I really love this brush!  The flexible and 100% Nylon Bristles are heat-resistant and glide through my hair almost effortlessly. Did I mention my hair is a pain to brush sometimes?  This brush really helped ease that!  Especially when I was blow drying my hair.  You know all that hot air blowing around can really tangle up a girls hair well this helped keep it tamed down for sure. 

The BrushLab brush barrel is also thermal ceramic coated which helped evenly distribute the heat and I am a firm believer that that’s what helped dry my hair so much quicker.  Plus BrushLove states that will also helps prevent over drying which can cause damage and this girl doesn’t need to damage her hair anymore than it already is!

LED Fogless Shower Mirror

Just when I think it can’t get any better it does!  I have found not only a Fogless Shower Mirror but an LED Lighted Fogless Shower Mirror.  And check this out, not only is it fogless but it is designed to be fogless for a lifetime because there are no chemicals or sprays used just some good old fashion technology, if you call it that. 

Installing the mirror was pretty easy or well easy enough that I could do it myself with the supplied silicone adhesive, even the batteries are included.  That simple technology I mentioned?  It’s as easy as filling up the reservoir on the back of the mirror with the shower water.  That’s what prevents your mirror from fogging.  So like I said, there are no chemicals or sprays that eventually ware down over time, this mirror will be fogless forever. 

The entire frame around the mirror lights up and there are even two different settings.  Personally I liked the low setting but of course hubby uses the high to shave.  The frame is even adjustable and swivels up and down which is really neat because I can stick it on one place of the shower and everyone can use is regardless of how tall or short they are. 

But most of all, one of my favorite features is the little shelf right below the mirror.  It’s perfect for keeping the razor put up out of reach of little fingers.

Handi Hanger

I’m running out of room in the kid’s closet.  Does that mean they have too much clothes?  Maybe,  but if they have to many clothes then that just means that’s left often I have to do their laundry so this could be a good or bad thing just depending on how you look at it.  Also in their closet is a small trash can for diapers.  I have 4 in diapers right now and that can lead to a very stinky closet unless I wrap each one of them up in a plastic bag, which I have found works pretty well.  So then I put one bag on a hanger and the rest stuffed inside of it.  This is taking up to much room because once again, they have a lot of clothes.

I FINALLY have a solution!  I came across Handi Hanger and just couldn’t wait to get it installed.  It took a whole 3 minutes to screw into the wall and my plastic bags were up and out of the way!  These things are so simple yet extremely convenient I love them!  I actually have two sets.  One I used in the kids closet and the other one set I put on the back of a cabinet door in the kitchen and use it for the kitchen towel I’m using at that time.  That way my kitchen towel isn’t just lying out on the counter.

Champ the Fur Champion

We’ve had little Miss K now for two weeks tomorrow and it has been one of the most challenging cases.  Challenging because of the reasons we received her and how the abuse and neglect have left her so far behind the other children.  The stressful situations she faced at home have also taught her how to throw one heck of a massive temper tantrum and it really is heartbreaking.

I am constantly looking for different ways to comfort these children.  Each child is very different from the rest and there is never “one size fits all” method to anything we do.  During my research I was looking at different comforting toys and activities and I remembered from my law enforcement training that something so simple as a stuffed animal can mean the world to any child, especially one is Miss K’s situation.  So I contacted Build-A-Bear Workshops to see what their focuses were towards Child Abuse.

It turns out Build-A-Bear Workshop has Champ- A Champion Fur Kids.  Part of the proceeds from Champ go to organizations that promote and provide support for children in areas of health and wellness, organizations that serve children with special needs, and my favorite organizations for child safety.  The goal for the proceeds of Champ “make the world a healthier happier place for kids”. 

Little Miss K goes EVERYWHERE with Champ!  She came with a few other stuffed animals when we got her but she really didn’t even notice them or want anything to do with them.  Champ is a brand new bear just for her and I really think she notices the difference between something she got “that night” and something new, fresh, and to help her start over.  Champ’s fur is also glimmers and shines and the outfits Build-A-Bear Workshop sent were just her style as well!  I loved the bright pink shirt, colorful pants, and sparkled shoes.  The array of colors makes Miss K smile every-time she hugs Champ and that is a wonderful start in a fresh direction.

Bamboo Childrens Dinner Set

Sometimes the kids can be pretty picky eaters and other times it’s just hard to get them to slow down long enough to actually sit at the dinner table for meals.  We always try to make meal time fun and a family event and one of the things that helps the most is kid friendly dinner sets. 

One of my favorite kids dinner sets comes from Bamboo Studio.  I ordered the Bamboo Kids 5 Piece Monkey Set and all of the kids want a turn finishing their meals out of it because it’s so much fun to find the monkey’s smile when their food is all gone.  I love it when they finish their food!!

I thought this was one of the cutest sets I’ve seen in a long time!  There is a plate, bowl, cup, and of course the spoon and fork.  How neat is that?

Mediterranean Snacks

I have a feeling our snack budget is going to go through the roof this summer with all the kids not in school.  Which if they’re hungry, then I guess they’re hungry which isn’t a big deal.  What is a big deal is the excess surgery and unhealthy snacks, which is why I’m glad I found Mediterranean Snack Company.

Mediterranean Snack Company sent us an assortment of their chips and crackers that everyone has been enjoying.  All of the snacks we tried from them are low fat, gluten free and a good source of protein.  My favorite is the Sea Salt Baked Lentil Chips.  I love sea salt because it’s natural and healthier than processed salts plus a true serving size of these chips was actually pretty filling.

Hubby liked the Fiery Tomato Baked Lentil Chips and the kids even enjoyed the Parmesan Garlic Baked Lentil Chips.

The Green Garmento

One thing I do to save time doing laundry is each bedroom has their own basket and I do that specific laundry basket all at once.  Maybe that’s lazy but it saves hours and hours of sorting laundry.  However, with all these kids, the plastic baskets aren’t holding up like I wish they would so I found The Green Garmento. 

After reading I realized The Green Garmento was way more than just your typical laundry bag like I had hoped.  But I guess I won’t have kids forever and one day I’ll get to use it to take laundry to the Dry Cleaners like it states for one of the uses.  One day right? Ha! 

There are also three other uses for it besides a typical run to the dry cleaners.  You can turn the bag upside down and hang it from the super strong loop to hold all the laundry.  (this one is my favorite as I have hung it from the back of a bedroom door.)  You can also place it inside a hamper frame and then use the drawstring to secure it so it doesn’t fall inside the frame.  This makes a great easy and grab bag of laundry.  And last but not least pull the drawstring tight and use it as a duffle bag!  The shoulder strap is super easy to toss and go!

I love giving the kids new toys and am a firm believer that every child we have here should have something of their very own.  So this week I gave Miss D her very own Zeenie Doll named Lina and she hasn’t put it down since!

Dimples BBQ On & Off the Grill

Ahhhh we love to BBQ especially when it’s warm out because I hate cooking in the kitchen and heating the whole house up just to make dinner.  Last night we made Beer Can Chicken which is super easy…. Only we topped it off with Dimples BBQ sauce and it really made it one of a kind.

I’m not a big spicy fan so this was perfect for me and all the kids because it’s more sweet than spicy.  It also glazed over the chicken perfectly sealing in the juices and perfecting the flavor. 

What I like most about Dimples BBQ Sauce is it’s great for dipping.  With the tomato and vinegar mixture this is a great sauce for kids.  Mr. Maison loved it on his chicken nuggets and he doesn’t generally use BBQ sauce on nuggets so this was a win for sure!

Real Kids Shades

I woke up yesterday morning, came down stairs, and this is what I find. Mr. Maison has already put on his Real Kids Shades and is sitting in the living room playing his game.  I guess that means he likes them right?  How funny I thought!

I have to admit it, I love shopping… It’s sad but true, I have a shopping addiction. But we will just keep that our little secret right?  It seems like every day I am online looking for new toys or clothes for these kiddo’s.  After all, every child deserves something of their own so when we get a new child in the house I just “have to” order new toys, right?   (you know… so they can have something, not just so I can shop).

Wraptastic

With a large family we have to cook a lot of sides to get through meals.  So clean-up can be just as exhausting as preparing and cooking all the food, and even more so when we have so many different left overs to store away.

A few weeks ago I seen a commercial for Wraptastic on TV and I figured, heck why not I’ll give it a try.  You know those commercials where the people are way to excited to use their product and it just seems to work way to well?  Yea, well this is one of those products that I can actually say works just that well. No I don’t get as excited as they do to wrap 5 sandwiches with the Wraptastic in the time it takes to wrap one normally. But it was just that convenient and for me, that really helps save time so I can get back to the kiddo’s. 

I especially like how the sharp cutting strip is hidden and away from touch.   Not only does it seem like I am constantly cutting myself on the boxes that plastic wrap comes in, but now I have little Mr. Maison help me get some of this clean up done without worrying or trying to rush him.  This thing was so easy, Maison could do it just as quick as I could which really helps, and I know he’s not going to cut himself.

Can I say “BUT THAT’S NOT ALL” haha those commercials really are irritating sometimes right? Well but that isn’t all because the Wraptastic isn’t just for plastic  wrap, you can use it for aluminum foil and wax paper to just by switching it out.  And for the $10.95 price tag, I would say this one is totally worth it!

Cryoow! Dolls

As children we all at one point or another had an imaginary friend, wouldn’t it have been incredible to put that friend on paper and then have it developed for us?  Sometimes I wish I was a child in today’s world.  The creativity of Cryoow! is just amazing and I would have loved to have my own designed doll as a child.  

Jeramiah loves to draw so when I came across Cryoow! Fogless shower mirror; what comes to mind?  I think of a mirror backed with suction cups to hold it on the wall, then sprayed with chemicals to make it fogless that will eventually fade away over time making it one more piece of junk taking up space in my bathroom until I eventually throw it away.  Well not anymore! 

ToiletTree has mastered the Fogless Shower Mirror that is really truly fogless because instead of using the harsh (or any) chemicals they neutralize the mirror with the air temperature with an easy to fill water reservoir.  The mirror is removable from the base so you can easily fill the reservoir.  Then, not only is the mirror removable, but the frame pivots which allows it to be adjusted for me and then hubby and then back to me over and over again.  I really like using this to make sure I get all the eye make-up off my face before hopping out. 

I have established that I enjoy using the mirror but the convenience and quality is really among the best features.  I really love that there is the perfect shelf so that the razor is up and out of reach from the kids.  Plus it’s safe to leave in the shower because the acrylic mirror is shatter and rust proof!  One more thing, it comes with this cute squeegee which effortlessly wipes away the water drops keeping it clean for use after use.

TOILETTREE Professional Skin Care System

Exfoliating your skin is really more than just using the right creams with a little bit of water.  That’s why I am so excited to tell you about the TOILETTREE Professional Skin Care System.  This 5 piece system has everything you need to get that deep down clean.

Ozeri Ceramic Knife Set

“Perfect” is not a word I use in the kitchen very often, but Ozeri has mastered a ceramic knife set that cuts absolutely perfect.

Ozeri Elite Chef Black Ceramic 3 Piece Knife set just absolutely shined when I opened the package.  The knives are about as beautiful as a knife set gets.  But I guess we can’t order our kitchen materials based on just how they look right? 

The handles actually comfortable and make them super easy to use and hold.  I hate cutting up something and then my hands hurt within minutes from the grip of the knife. This is not the case with the Ozeri Elite knife set.

The blades themselves are 100% ceramic which is an eco-friendly material because with use some knifes can leave behind metal ions into your food.  These ceramic knives will not.  Then to provide long lasting guarantee, the knives are finished with a reflective black veneer.  I guess that’s why they are so pretty!  I love the way these knives shine! With the black veneer and ceramic material, these knives weigh less than half of what an equivalent metal knife would weigh.
