Sashka Co Hand Crocheted Glass Beaded Bracelets

Growing up, my grandma made almost all of our gifts.  Everything from sweaters and hats to dolls, stuffed animals and quilts.  As much as I hate to admit it, it took a couple of years before I really began to appreciate how much time, effort and love went into each project she had done for us grand kids.  Now all of those items are our priceless treasures and I couldn't imagine cuddling up on the couch without one of her quilts.

So today, I'm going to tell you about the bracelets I received last week.  I ordered 5 bracelets from Sashka Co and I have to tell you they are absolutely beautiful! Made from tiny glass beads, each bracelet is hand crocheted bead by bead in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal.  Traveling is also one of my favorite things to do, so while I can't go to Nepal, I can bring Nepal and the art of their trades to me! 

If you have the chance, check out the Sashka Co website.  It was really hard to pick out just 5 bracelets but I had to set a limit.  There was really the most appropriate colors for any occasion or outfit!  I'll be using a couple of these bracelets as gifts because I also like to give handmade gifts even if I'm not the one who made them. 

 I found the black and gold one which is perfect for a friends daughter as those are the kids school colors.  This will be a perfect addition to her jewelry armoire I bought her a couple of years ago.    I also found three bracelets that are light colored, the white with a hint of color, then the other two with purple, blue and white and green gold and white. Those three are just perfect for spring and summer. 

 But the bracelet that surprised me the most on the website is the black and blue.  The Sashka Co website had a "Thin Blue Line" bracelet for law enforcement and a "Thin Red Line" bracelet  for firefighters.  It's very rare to find these in something that's not rubber or more male appropriate.  I've been in Law Enforcement now for over 10 years so of course I had to order myself the Thin Blue Line bracelet!   At first I thought they looked kind of small but they are a roll on style and rolled on gracefully for a perfect fit.
