Being a new parent can be stressful, and although we have
new parents, old parents, single parents, and married parents, there is only
one kind of perfect parent. A perfect
parent is one who always tries and loves unconditionally. We will all make mistakes in parenting, its
human nature to make a mistake. We can
sometimes yell a little loud, sleep a little long or other endless things that
we will look back on and think “hum I probably shouldn’t have done that”.
Itzbeen has come up with a little resource to help eliminate
some of those mistakes or if you’re like me, remind me not to make as
many. Pocket Nanny was introduced to
consumers in 2007 and has won awards from Juvenile Products Manufacturing
Associations and IParenting Media Award.
With that being said, I can understand why.
As a “Seasoned Parent” (or old, but I prefer seasoned), I
would love to say that I even to this day remember to give my children their
medications when they are sick like clockwork.
But I don’t, so I couldn’t even begin to expect a new parent to remember
things like medication or time schedules for nursing/feeding. The pocket Nanny has reminder software to
help you remember how long it has been since you have changed a diaper, fed your
child, how long they have been asleep, or when you last gave your sweet baby
their medication. Along with the
counting “how long since” there are optional alarms you can set for a maximum
time limit.
For nursing mothers, there are even convenient nursing
features to help keep track of which side your baby last fed from.
What do I like most about Pocket Nanny? As moms we carry around way too many things,
but pocket nanny has a easy clip you can attach to your diaper bag or shirt and
it’s only about the size of an I-phone but a little thicker.

I could use this to remember Aly's meds at night I always forget and then have to wake her and give them to her.
ReplyDeleteI can tell you that Pocket Nanny would have been a huge help when I was nursing the twins when they were infants! It's not as big of a deal now that they are weaning though, but I can see how remembering to change who's diaper and stuff would have been so much easier with something like this!
ReplyDeleteIf I were to win this, I'd give it to my sister - a first time mom whose baby boy was born in December. :)
This would have been great when I was nursing, but even now with just trying to keep a set schedule with everything would be great.
ReplyDeleteTHIS IS NEW TO ME BUT WOULD LIKE TO SEE HOW IT WORKS
ReplyDeleteWe are expecting our 2nd child, gosh I wish we had this when we had our first!
ReplyDeletewould love to win
ReplyDeleteBaby #2 is on the way and this would be so great to help me with keeping track of time and which side for nursing! I had such a hard time with baby #1, I couldn't keep track...I tried using the notes app on my iphone but kept erasing everything by mistake, and I even tried a bracelet that had markings for time/side but it was uncomfortable. This would make life so much easier, especially with two kids! :)

ReplyDeleteMy niece has a 7-month old and is pregnant again. I know she could use this.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter could certainly use this as their bedroom is downstairs and the baby's is upstairs.

ReplyDeleteMy friend will soon bring her newborn home from the hospital where the baby has been for the past 5 months. Iam sure she could use the Pocket Nanny to keep track of the times for her needs.
ReplyDeleteI visited the web site AlyGators and fell in love with the Butt Bench.
ReplyDeleteMy husbands older brother and his wife are expecting their first child and which they were not sure if she was going to be able to have a baby at all so quite a blessing. They both tend to be a tad ocd about having the no germs,no messes of any kind around their son, which is really cute and all but having a 3 yr old boy has taught me that all sounds real nice but the reality of it is that's just not going to be avoidable. I know they would appreciate something like this a great deal.
ReplyDeleteMy sister has a 24 month old that is in the process of potty training and a second one due April 1st...not fooling! Ha ha but I know she would just love this as a gift.
ReplyDeletehope I can win, know the perfect person for this.
ReplyDeletedad of twins
ReplyDeleteThis would be great for my daughter. She has a toddler and baby #2 due soon.
