Companies that Send Coupons

We coupon!  There's no denying it when you look at my coupon room and see countless packs of diapers, wipes, cleaning supplies, and other odds and ends.  But why not!  If we can save just a little bit of money by buying 20 of something in one day and then not having to pay full price for it for 6 months, why not?

What I would like to do is help other families have the same opportunities to save money as we do.  So this week I have put together a list of companies that have been previously known to send out coupons or have printable coupons on their website.

Now of course over time some of their policies change and they may say no, if this happens, let us know and we will get them removed off of our list.

In the mean time this is a pretty big list so get started!  All you need to do is clicks the company below, and then their contact tab.  I open a blank word document to type up a "I love your company..." email that I can copy and paste for each company only changing a few words or adding a personalized compliment.  It makes working through the list go a ton faster!

The Sibley Guide to Birds Second Edition

Now that the boys are getting older, 14 and 12 (can you believe it?!) living out in the country definitely has it's perks. I'm WAY WAY WAY less worried about them playing outside and someone snatching them up (they would bring them back anyways at this point) or the neighbors complaining because lord knows they might ride their bike too close to someone's driveway. Yes, I love living out where where the boys can just be boys!

Hubby grew up always wondering off in the woods fishing, hunting, and whatever else little boys do. Now I can see that rubbing off on the boys. Jeramiah is always outside with the animals and I see the peeked interest lately in learning about what different birds are.

Jeramiah is constantly asking “what bird is this, what bird is that?” It's cool to see him interested in the outdoors like he is! So when I found “The Sibley Guide to Birds” by David Allen Sibley, I knew I had to order it! It's way more than what I expected! For just under $20, on Chewy.com I figured it would be a short and quick guide to the most common birds. I was so wrong! Over 600 pages, I can't even begin to tell you how many birds are listed though. The book says over 7,000 paintings and it seems most of the birds are pictured. Plus there's a bird sighting checklist and a map at the bottom of most pages telling where the birds are commonly found.

Growing up, Grandma and Grandpa had a huge bird feeding area outside their kitchen window. I can remember sitting there with them watching the birds for hours. Grandpa would always try telling us what different birds were what, but when I was younger I didn't really listen. I just wasn't really interested. Now of course as an adult and now that Grandma has passed away I really wish I would have listened. I called Grandpa last summer to ask about some Mean attacking hummingbirds. So of course the first bird I had to look up in the book was the hummingbirds. Wow I had no idea there were so many!

I can't wait to see what kind of birds the boys are able to check off the list around the house and “The Sibley Guide to Birds Second Edition" is the perfect book for that!

Etched Glass DIY with Ozeri Serafino Double-Wall Thermo Glasses

I honestly love crafting and love learning on new projects even more, but I'm pretty sure one project I won't try again is etched wine glasses.... The curve in the glass has driven me just about crazy and I have had lots and lots of trial and errors... What I have learned with etched glass is just make life simple and find something flat! That's after about 20 wine glasses in the trash. Oh my....

Hubby loves these glasses we got from Ozeri. They are “Serafino Double-wall Thermo Glasses”. He thought they looked pretty cool and I thought they were neat because they are heat resistant, freezer, microwave, and oven safe. Oh and shatter resistant, lets not forget that with 3 very “graceful” children in the house!

With all the glass etching I've been doing hubby requested I put “Mom” and “Dad” on these two cups. Maybe a soft attempt at preventing the kids from stealing these ones? But the tops are much more straight than the wine glasses, I figured why not.

First I cleaned the cups with some rubbing alcohol and applied my vinyl design I cut with my Cameo 3. I love that machine!! After I got the design applied and all the bubbles worked out I used some masking tape to protect the rest of the cup. The etching cream is extremely potent and I've noticed the fumes even etching around the glass. Note the trial and error......

Once the rest of the cups were protected, I dabbed the etching cream to the showing glass from my design. After a couple minutes I moved the cream around to enhance the etch but I have noticed it doesn't really matter if you leave the cream on 5 minutes as directed or 25 minutes the etch is basically the same.

After The cream had some time to work its magic, I took it to the sink and rinsed with warm water in addition to using a cloth to wipe away any excess cream. Again trial and error and several wasted glasses. Make sure you wipe away as your rinsing but still be cautious not to get any cream on your skin. It's extremely hazardous and even warns to utilize protective clothing (gloves) while using the cream.
When the glasses are wet the etched design is barley visible. I gave them a good dry and BAM there it is!

Next thing I need to learn... How to take better pictures of glass.  Sorry these kinda bite!  I'm still learning though just as we all do!

These glasses from Ozeri were perfect to personalize! They're so unique and different than what you usually see in the store. I love the hand blown glass design and the double-wall design is great for hot drinks! While I won't be doing any more wine glasses for awhile.... I would love to do some more glasses like these! True Chews from Chewy.com

Tally.... Tally... Tally.... I'm pretty sure she doesn't know shes a dog because she's incredibly spoiled. So when I came across True Chews Premium JerkyCuts Dog Treats I knew they were perfect for her! They are real chicken dog treats and don't contain any corn, wheat, soy or well anything artificial. Tally begs for them and immediately jumps up when I am near her treat container.

Living out in the country we are blessed to have a couple chickens of our own. Tally thinks they're her friends and the boys call them “Chicken Noodle Soup”. But they are free range and we don't give them any antibiotics, steroids, or additional hormones. So when I found out that the meat that True Chews treats use is just like our own chickens, raised without antibiotics, hormones or steroids, I was super impressed because although I'm not feeding Tally from my plate she is still getting healthy products just like the kiddos.

Last but not least.... These products are made right here in the USA. No outsourcing from China or Mexico. Not that I don't love the Mexico beaches but I don't think my kids or fur babies food should come from there.

Chewy.com Offers a disposable litter box through Tidy Cats!

This has been kind of a hard post for me to write, but here it goes... Safety first right? Did you know soiled cat litter can pose hazardous health issues for a woman and her unborn child? Now, we had yes I said had, an outdoor kitty which the kids named Oreo and she totally rocked! But we kept her outside so there was no litter box in the house. Instead I kept the litter box in the garage and she had learned from Tally the dog to claw at the door when she wanted to go out or come inside. Again she totally rocked! At night she would either come in the house or spend the night in the garage and I only ever noticed her have one accident, in the bathroom on the tile... Not to shabby for a 6 month old kitten!

I have had the honor of testing out Chewy.com which I have found to be a really incredible delivery service! Their website is easy to sort through, having everything categorized by the type of pet and offers free shipping on orders over $49! Talley loves their treats, but that's another post coming soon. I love service of click and ship and having everything I need for our fur babies delivered right to my door without that extra trip to town. Yes, I utilize service deliveries a lot and this is one we will be sticking to! It just saves so much stress, hassle and time.

What I liked the most about Chewy.com was the availability of the different types of products. I had no idea there was such thing as a disposable litter box. Did you? How cool is this! Tidy Cats has a open- use- and toss litter box! Now even pregnant I could take care of the cats mess rather than having to ask one of the kids, who last time spilled it everywhere... Ugh! And I'm not scooping it exposing my baby or myself to the hazardous toxins. I just slid it into a trash bag and out to the dumpster it went!

Now kittens will be kittens and one afternoon she got into the dog treats we got from Chewy.com getting the entire bag off the counter, torn up, and all over the house. I think it's safe to say she liked them too. Dad booted her outside while he cleaned up the mess and poor Oreo crawled into my car motor when I got home. The rest is needless to say but I have to apologize for not letting you guys know about the Chewy order sooner. I was super impressed with this disposable litter box because it's perfect for our house. I'm sure when it warms back up outside we will be getting another kitty, but I do miss my Oreo.

Ozeri Blood Pressure Monitor Review

So it's definitely not been an easy last 7 months. I don't remember either pregnancy with the boys being so exhausting or stressful. Maybe it's the simple fact that I'm older but who knows. It's definitely been challenging!

One thing I've tried to stay on top of is my health watching my diet, sugar levels, and blood pressure. My blood pressure gave me a lot of trouble during my first trimester which could explain some of the exhaustion. I would get tired just walking from one end of the house to the other.

About 3 or 4 weeks ago now, I received a Ozeri Blood pressure monitor and absolutely love it! The one I had before was the traditional cuff that went on the upper arm, and although it was fairly compact this one fits way more conveniently in my purse its hard plastic carrying case with the instruction booklet which I kept just for future reference.
Right out of the package which contained the required batteries, it was easy to use with very little start up. You can program it with the date, time, and user 1 or user 2. Which is kinda neat because for each user it will store 90 past measurements, 180 measurements total. That totally helps with taking the readings to my doctor without having to remember to write them down when I'm not feeling well.

The first time I used it, I simply placed it on my wrist and turned it on but I got an error message. For complete accuracy the cuff requires you turn your palm outwards, and use your other wrist or an object to comfortably support your arm holding it as still as possible. Once I supported my wrist with the monitor on it, (holding it still) it worked like a charm and has every single time after that. I feel like that's a little guarantee that it's as accurate as possible and not picking up body movement for a false reading. Even the instructions show examples of how to hold your your arm when applying the cuff. The instruction booklet is extremely helpful which is rare for most products these days. There is a lot of information in the book from troubleshooting to how to accurately read the monitor including the color guide on the left side, and if all else fails, turn to the last page of the book and contact Ozeri Customer Service. Pretty neat, no Google required to find their contact information.

I love my Ozeri Blood Pressure Monitor and it couldn't have came at a better time! There are several places you can order yours from, check out the links below!
