Andy’s cookies are a thick, soft, delicious, and flavorful treat that everyone in my home enjoyed!  Our package of Sweet Andy’s Cookies also didn’t last very long though, especially with yesterday being Valentines Day it was a perfect desert after dinner with a glass of milk.

Owners Andrew and Lisa developed Sweet Andy’s Cookies as a way to give back and say thank you to all of their friends and family that were helping them through rough times in 2009 when Andrew left his job.  One thing led to another and with the encouragement of a good friend and high demand of these scrumptious cookies, Sweet Andy’s Cookies was developed. 

Our family had the opportunity to try several of their wonderful flavors, and even though I am not generally a big sweets person, I LOVED the Lemon Cookie!  The kiddo’s liked… Well you guessed it…. All of them!  But I was really surprised when J said “I only want 1”.  What?!  What is wrong with my child?!  Well they are a big thick cookie and he had a huge plate at dinner.  Poor kid, he could only eat one.  That’s ok because the boys got to enjoy Sweet Andy’s Cookies after school (before dinner, don’t tell hubby) and there are still some left for today, so I know what they will be asking for the minute that school bell rings.

Several years ago hubby was in a major car accident which left him with some life changing injuries and although time has went by the scars still ache every so often.  So when I had the opportunity to review natural pain relief cream, I jumped at the opportunity with glee!

My favorite part of the weekend is waking up to hubby bringing me a piping steaming hot cup of fresh coffee.  I wait all week for Saturday to arrive! But now that it’s Wednesday, Saturday is still a few days away, so as I crawl into the kitchen barley dragging my feet, I am thankful for my Keurig K-Cup brewer that gives me that fresh steaming cup every time. 

Last summer we visited my grandma for a week in Florida, it was a wonderful trip but that’s where the k-cup addiction began. After a long drive like that, there was nothing more inviting than a smooth cup of coffee, and she has hundreds of these little cups sorted out in different drawers. Needless to say I was interested. 

After a week of trying out several different flavors of coffee and learning how easy it was to change it up every single time, I made hubby promise to get me one for Christmas.  But I couldn’t wait until the holidays, it was just a few short weeks later and we brought home our first Keurig Platinum Brewing System.

The k-cups are wonderful!  The kids can have chocolate and I can have coffee all done within a few minutes.  The Platinum brewing system is amazing with all of the different features, including the Energy Savings Mode and the 72 oz. water reservoir.  And of course we can’t forget the 5 different brewing cup sizes which range from 4 ounces to 12 ounces! 

But if your like me and drink as much coffee as I do, the K-cups can get expensive.  That’s why hubby and grandma each bought me one of these single reusable solo cups.  I use mine over and over and am yet to wear it out.  The solo cups are a must have for the days you run out of k-cups because it will happen when you least expect it and it’s a very big disappointment to wake up and know you have to leave the house to get your next cup of coffee.

I can’t think of anything easier then giving the boys each 2 tubes of Chobani Champion Tubes for breakfast with some toast! Thank you Chobani for a super easy breakfast making our mornings not only a little less stressful but much easier to get out the door.

Mr. Maison loved the Jamin’ Strawberry and Jeramiah just couldn’t get enough of the Rockin’ Blueberry.  My favorite part is both the boys were getting a good source of protein, calcium and vitamin D.  But of course I couldn’t let them have all the fun, I had to give it a try to!

The 100 calorie cups are a wonderful breakfast and I really enjoyed the raspberry with dark chocolate chips!  This brand of Greek yogurt is not only amazingly delicious, but knowing that Chobani uses only natural ingredients is also major plus.  How can you go wrong with something so delightfully simple?

Precision Pro Digital Kitchen Scale

As we pass further and further away from the New Year and all of our resolutions, it can become easy to forget about eating healthy and slip back into old habits.  It happens we are only human of course.  But I have to say, as long as I am staying home and not eating fast food, keeping track of what we have been eating is getting easier and easier every day. 

I recently received the Precision Pro Digital Kitchen Scale and we have found so many uses for it both in and out of the kitchen!  My favorite use of course is weighing our meals so we can have a better idea of true serving sizes. 

The Precision Pro Digital Kitchen Scale is extremely easy to use. I simple put a bowl on it and then hit the “tare” button which resets the weight back to 0.  After everything is all reset, I put the chicken in the bowl and WALA! This size serving was enough for hubby and I tonight, and now we have a more realistic idea of what a true serving of meat consist of. 

I enjoy using this kitchen scale because it’s pretty easy operate plus the slim compact design is big enough to put a bowl on and then still doesn’t take up a lot of counter space.  This is a great feature when you have limited counter space like we do.

Thought Spots

When I first heard of Thought Spots I was a little confused as to what they are so I took at look at their website and with every click I knew this was something so simple yet very special.

Thought Spots are sweet and inspiring messages that you can leave throughout the house, on your childs book bags, or even in a card. 

I had a lot of fun placing these vinyl clings in random places where the boys would find them as they moved throughout their day.  I especially liked the “Wipe & Flush” one I snuck on their toilet! I swear those stinky boys never remember to flush the toilet!  How hard is that to remember? Also in their bathroom I snuck the “Brush your teeth Clean & Bright” sticker.  I know I tell them every morning and every night but sometimes they need that small extra reminder and maybe with any luck, I won’t have to remind them anymore.

I have done it again!  I have found yet another product to add to this weeks pampering me list! YAY!!! Can we say that this week I am a little spoiled? Oh yea!

Dead Sea Salt Scrub is another one that has made the AlyGators approval list! While it is made in Israel, the aromatic body treatment is nourishing and exfoliating.  The scent junkie in me gives this two thumbs up all the way.  The different mixture of oils provides not only a relaxing atmosphere but a true addiction to the aromatherapy.

There are many ways to enjoy the Dead Sea Salt Scrub, so I was more than happy to try each different way.  The scrub is a wonderful exfoliates and the oils soften and moisturize your skin.  Also, a more traditional and my favorite use is to simply put a few teaspoons into a nice hot relaxing bath and gracefully enjoy!

I am always excited to try new skin care products because I truly believe that one day I will find exactly what is perfect for me.  Well this week I got to check out SIBU Beauty and they offer a Sea Buckthorn cleansing face and body bar. 

When I opened the well wrapped bar the smell was intoxicating and I couldn’t wait to try it out.  I absolutly love the way the sea Buckthorn Cleansing Bar smells. The bar really lathered up well and left my skin feeling moistened, but not weighted down and still refreshed. 

The bars contain coconut oil, palm oil, and safflower oil among other ingredients.  With this many oils I was really worried about how my skin would react.  To my surprise the Sea Buckthorn Cleansing bar didn’t leave behind a residue and my skin had no negative reaction.  This is a wonderful sign when your skin is as sensitive as mine. 

I will continue using the Sea Buckthorn Cleansing bar because I loved the way it made my skin feel and the wonderful smell.  Plus I was really impressed in their Giving Back program.  In 2001, SIBU Beauty founder Bruce McMullin established the Tashi Foundation, which is a non-profit philanthropic organization designed to provide financial and resource support for the people of Tibet.  The Sibu sea buckthorn berries are exclusively harvested here.
